Opportunity Through the Game at FC Hawaiʻi

For many families across Hawaiʻi, youth sports shape far more than what happens on the field. The game builds confidence, connection, discipline, and opportunity that can last a lifetime.

Founded in 2014, FC Hawaiʻi was built on a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to play, grow, and develop through the game of soccer.

What began as a small local club has grown into a community-driven organization serving more than 300 players across 25 teams. Along the way, FC Hawaiʻi has become recognized for its long-term player development philosophy and coaching talent. This includes earning a USYS National Championship with a fully homegrown team developed within the club.

At the heart of FC Hawaiʻi is a commitment to developing complete players and people. Training environments are designed to help athletes think independently, make decisions under pressure, and grow as teammates, leaders, and individuals. Success is measured not only by wins, but by the character and growth players carry with them beyond the field.

Expanding access to the game remains a central part of the club’s mission. FC Hawaiʻi’s Keiki Academy, a free introductory program for children ages 4–6, helps remove financial barriers while introducing young players to movement, teamwork, confidence, and the joy of soccer at an early age.

Over our history, more than $1 million has been directed toward youth and community initiatives with the continued support from families, sponsors, and the broader community. These efforts have helped create pathways for players to pursue opportunities both locally and beyond Hawaiʻi, including collegiate soccer, elite competition, and international training experiences.

While the game may eventually take players far from home, FC Hawaiʻi’s goal is that they carry the values of Hawaiʻi with them. We are grounded in discipline, respect, humility, and connection to community.
